In the coming years, we plan to spend more time on the road. Until then, we need to find the right balance between what we truly need and the creature comforts that make travel more enjoyable. We also need to get comfortable with pulling, parking, and living out of our new home on wheels. What better way to find our footing than to hit the road for a few smaller trips and learn by doing?
Enter Rustic Acres RV Resort and Campground.
We wanted a destination that was at least two hours from our home base. It needed to be close enough that we could get back if something went wrong, but far enough away to feel disconnected from the daily grind. While we plan to dry camp for much of our future road life, it made sense for our first shakedown trip to stay somewhere with full hookups. We found Rustic Acres on RVLife and decided it would be our weekend destination.
The cost was $69.00 per night for the weekend, but the campground offered everything we were looking for and needed for this first trip. When we arrived, we stopped at the front office and were greeted by Lee. Lee seems to carry much of the history that sits at the foundation of what Rustic Acres is today.
